Cybersecurity Specialist Mid – POA&M Management
Responsibilities
- Maintain and revise the DHS POA&M Guide to reflect changing guidance and implement process improvements
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the DHS weakness remediation process and make changes to the POA&M Guide as requested by the Government
- Develop and maintain training materials and resources to provide guidance to DHS HQ components regarding weakness remediation
- Develop, maintain, and update POA&M operating procedures to review POA&M weakness activity for effectiveness and quality
- Develop documentation and training for users across HQ components based on the new changes recommended by DHS Management based on the FY ISPP changes
Certification
- At least one of the following:
- CISSP
- CAP
- CompTIA Security+
Qualification
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Must have an active Secret security clearance
- Must have 4 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
Location
- This position requires the candidate to come on-site to the facility twice a week (Tuesday & Thursday), and work can be done remotely. The main facility is located in the National Capital Region within the DC Metropolitan area.
Salary
- Salary is based on the number of years of relevant work experience the candidate has.
