Cybersecurity Specialist Mid – POA&M Management

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and revise the DHS POA&M Guide to reflect changing guidance and implement process improvements
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the DHS weakness remediation process and make changes to the POA&M Guide as requested by the Government
  • Develop and maintain training materials and resources to provide guidance to DHS HQ components regarding weakness remediation
  • Develop, maintain, and update POA&M operating procedures to review POA&M weakness activity for effectiveness and quality
  • Develop documentation and training for users across HQ components based on the new changes recommended by DHS Management based on the FY ISPP changes

Certification

  • At least one of the following:
    • CISSP
    • CAP
    • CompTIA Security+

Qualification

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance
  • Must have 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently

Location

  • This position requires the candidate to come on-site to the facility twice a week (Tuesday & Thursday), and work can be done remotely. The main facility is located in the National Capital Region within the DC Metropolitan area.

Salary

  • Salary is based on the number of years of relevant work experience the candidate has.
