Edison, NJ – Softek International, Inc. (Softek), announced the Software Engineering Institute’s Capability Maturity ModelIntegration (CMMI) has appraised it as fully compliant at Maturity Level 3 for Development, Version 1.3.

The maturity level was issued following a Class A CMMI Appraisal was performed by a team of independent SEI-trained and authorized CMMI® appraisers led by a SCAMPI Lead Appraiser. Softek is now among the elite group of small businesses to been independently appraised at CMMI Level 3.  The appraisal team concluded that Softek International has implemented a disciplined process to manage, monitor and control its IT projects.

An appraisal at maturity level 3 indicates the organization is performing at a “defined” level. At this level, processes are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. Achieving CMMI Level 3 designation demonstrates Softek’s performance and execution is based on standards, procedures, tools and methods that are well defined understood and improved over time.
